CableFree
provides Campus Telecommunications Connectivity

The Problem:
A typical Industrial Park environment, the client had completed refurbishment of a
building to act as a centre for sales and marketing activities. However, excessive
lead-times, coupled with high installation and annual rental charges quoted by the only
available telecommunications company caused concern over the requirement to extend
telephony and computer connectivity to the centre using a 2Mbps leased-line service.
The Solution:
CableFree Solutions delivered a
timely solution - in the form of a CableFree1000 system configured with a
newly-developed line interface for E1/G703 traffic at 2.048Mbps - the industry standard
which allows connection of up to 30 telephone lines simultaneously. Inability to obtain
digging permission for roads across the site, and lack of time to complete site and
frequency planning licenses for radio systems made infrared technology the ideal choice -
a simple installation which spans 350m of free space between the company's main complex
and the new centre.
The uniquely flexible and upgradeable nature of CableFree gives the client flexibility
to meet future connectivity requirements - whilst meantime solving the short-term need
well under budget and ahead of competitors timescales, and without licensing or annual
rental charges to pay.
